The sky blushed with golden hues as dawn unfurled across the horizon—a quiet promise stretching wide.
This morning's walk was my first since my husband passed three years ago. Yet, I did not walk alone. My steps echoed softly along a path bathed in morning light, but the sound was not mine alone.
There, in the hush of the breeze, God gently beckoned. A presence stirred around me—unseen but deeply felt.
On either side, just beyond the reach of sight, angels walked with me. Their grace shimmered like light through stained glass, their peace a quiet rhythm in my soul. And still, He beckoned.
I saw no wings, but I felt them—soft as breath, strong as thunderclouds. When my steps grew heavy, they leaned near—not to carry, but to uplift.
A silent reminder whispered: You are not alone. God is with you. The path twisted and climbed, yet fear found no footing. Each step became a song, each breath a prayer. Their silent encouragement resounded more powerfully than any crowd. With every stride, grief, fear, and doubt slipped away. I walked into light, into faith, as angels pressed close.
Isaiah 41:10 promises us: “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”
Even when we feel utterly alone, God reminds us that we’re not.
King David declared in Psalm 91:11: “He will command His angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways.”
What a beautiful, unshakable promise—His angels go before us, beside us, and behind us.
Today, Curtis Morley sings like a lullaby to the weary heart: “There is a man who heals the soul, I heard them say. Daily He walks with those who cannot find their way."
And so, when He beckons again—sometimes I just look up and whisper, “I know that’s You, God. Thank You.”
