Every year, I’m amazed by how God never fails to let the sun outlive the storm.

Here in Montana, as winter’s snow begins to melt and rush toward the beautiful Bitterroot River, beauty seems to explode everywhere.

This year, we’ve had so much rain, the verdant hills are greener than ever—a beauty almost impossible to describe.

This week, the sky was covered in gorgeous pink clouds, softly lined with baby blue. I stood in awe of the colors. And yet, beneath the beauty was a subtle reminder: we had weathered another year of storms.

Psalm 19:1 tells us, “The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands.”

As I looked toward the snow-capped peaks in the distance, it almost felt like Heaven. Everywhere I looked, there was a refreshing beauty—a reminder of the One who carries us through life’s storms and brings us into another day.

I love the sweet music of Lenny LeBlanc, Don Moen and Rachel Robinson, “There is none like You. No one else can touch my heart like You do. Your mercy flows like a river so wide, healing comes from Your hand.”

What a beautiful reminder. God’s mercy flows like a river, His strength carries us when our own strength is gone, and His presence remains through every storm.

Storms may come, but they never stay forever. The clouds eventually break, the sun rises, and beauty appears where we may have only seen darkness.

Whatever storm you may be facing today, hold tightly to God. Lean into His strong arms and trust Him to carry you through. With Him, you can survive any storm—and live to see the beauty on the other side.

Closing Prayer

Lord, thank You for carrying me through every storm. When I feel weary or overwhelmed, help me lean into Your strength instead of my own. Remind me Your mercy never runs dry and Your light will always shine again.

Help me trust You through every season and look forward to the beauty and blessing You have waiting for us. In Jesus' precious name we pray, Amen.
