Almost daily, ads pop up on my phone promising to make life easier—or to fix problems I didn't even know I had.

Apparently, I need a special flash drive to back up every photo on my phone. I need a simple plug-in to purify the air in my home. And should a fire ever break out in my kitchen, I'm told I absolutely must have a fire blanket ready to save the day.

Then there's the latest invention I simply can't live without—something guaranteed to help me bypass cable TV, organize my life, save money, sleep better, or solve some other urgent problem. The list goes on and on. According to the ads, I'll be sorry if I don't buy their product.

But I've come to realize there is something I truly cannot do without. And unlike all those products competing for my attention, it won't break my budget.

It's the hands of Jesus.

Isaiah 41:13 says, "For I am the LORD your God who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you."

And Psalm 63:8 reminds us, "My soul clings to you; your right hand upholds me."

Christian singer, songwriter, and author Crowder beautifully captures this truth: "The hands of Jesus, so precious and strong. They can calm the seas, they can right your wrongs. So bring your hurt and all your broken pieces, and put them in the miracle-working hands of Jesus."

What a picture.

When life feels broken, we don't have to search endlessly for the newest solution. We can bring our fears, regrets, disappointments, hurts, and shattered dreams to the One whose hands are strong enough to hold them all. And those hands will never let us go.

God promises in Isaiah 46:4, "I will be your God throughout your lifetime—until your hair is white with age. I made you, and I will care for you."

Better than anything today's infomercials can offer, the hands of Jesus are the one thing we truly cannot do without.

What broken thing in your life have you been trying to fix on your own?

What might happen if today you simply placed it in the miracle-working hands of Jesus?
