While crystal balls are typically about the size of a grapefruit, some have been much, much larger.

One remarkable example is housed at the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, D.C., weighing an astonishing 106.75 pounds!

At one time or another, haven't we all wished we had a crystal ball to reveal what lies ahead? Wouldn't it be comforting to know what tomorrow holds, which decisions to make, or how a difficult situation will turn out?

But God doesn't ask us to know the future. He asks us to trust Him with it.

We don't need to spend our days worrying about tomorrow. Our heavenly Father promises to walk beside us through every circumstance, no matter how uncertain or difficult life becomes.

We may not know what tomorrow holds, but we can know the One who holds tomorrow. We don't need a crystal ball when we have the promises of God!

“I will stand by you.” God promises never to abandon us. (Hebrews 13:5)

“I will help you through.” When our strength fails, God offers His strength and support. (Isaiah 41:13)

“I will dry your eyes.” One day, God will wipe away every tear, and sorrow will be no more. (Revelation 21:4)

“I will fight your fight.” We can rest in the knowledge that the battle belongs to the Lord. (Exodus 14:14)

“I will hold you tight and never let you go.” We can find security in God's unfailing presence and care. (Deuteronomy 31:6)

What a beautiful collection of promises! Our security doesn't rest in our ability to predict the future or control our circumstances. It rests in the almighty power and unfailing love of our heavenly Father.

Even when we stumble, He extends His mercy. Even when we feel weak, He offers His strength. And even when the road ahead seems dark, He remains faithful.

Isaiah 41:10 reminds us: “Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”

And Deuteronomy 31:8 reassures us that the Lord goes before us. He will be with us and will never leave or forsake us.

Perhaps that's why the message of the beloved song “Stand by Me,” beautifully performed by Music Travel Love, touches so many hearts. Its tender plea reminds us even when darkness surrounds us, we don't have to be afraid when we know we aren't alone.

So, the next time you wish you could peek into a crystal ball to see what tomorrow holds, remember this: You don't need to see the future when you trust the One who is already there.

Closing Prayer

Father God, thank You for holding my future securely in Your hands. When uncertainty causes me to worry, remind me to trust Your promises rather than fear the unknown.

Strengthen me when I feel weak, comfort me when my heart is troubled, and help me rest in the assurance You will never leave me.

Teach me to live fully in today, knowing You are already present in my tomorrow. Lord, when the night grows dark, please stand by me. In Jesus' precious name, Amen.
